What this site does with your data

Privacy

This is a personal portfolio site. It is not a business, it sells nothing, and it has no interest in building a profile of you. This page describes exactly what happens to your data when you visit — written plainly, because a privacy policy you can’t read isn’t one.

What isn’t here

No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no heatmapping, no session recording, and no advertising or retargeting pixel of any kind. Visits are not measured or attributed.

No tracking cookies. This site sets no cookies. The only thing it stores in your browser is a single localStorage value, ra-theme, which remembers whether you picked the Paper, Blueprint, or Satellite display mode in the footer. It never leaves your browser, and clearing your site data removes it.

No self-hosted third-party fonts or scripts. Typefaces and JavaScript are served from this domain, so simply reading a page doesn’t call out to anyone else.

What is collected

The contact form. If you send a message from the contact page, the name, email address, message, and any file you attach are submitted to FormKeep, a form-handling service, which stores the submission and forwards it to me by email. I use that information only to reply to you. It isn’t added to a mailing list, and it isn’t sold or shared.

Spam protection. The contact page loads Google reCAPTCHA v3 to keep the form from being abused by bots. reCAPTCHA scores the submission and is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms of service. It runs on the contact page only — no other page on this site loads it.

Embedded video. A few case studies embed videos from YouTube. Those players load only on the pages that contain them, and YouTube may set its own cookies when one does. That is Google’s collection, governed by the policy linked above, not mine.

Server logs. The web host records standard access logs — IP address, request time, requested URL, user agent — for security and troubleshooting. This is ordinary web server behavior, kept briefly by the host and not used for analytics.

Automated agents

The crawl rules in robots.txt and the usage guidance in llms.txt describe how crawlers and AI agents should treat this site. Agents are welcome to read and cite these pages; they should not submit the contact form on a person’s behalf.

Your data

If you’ve written to me and want the message and your details deleted, ask and I’ll delete them — from FormKeep and from my mailbox. Questions about anything on this page can go to the same place: arnaudin@ryanarnaudin.com, or through the contact page.

This policy applies to https://ryanarnaudin.com only, not to sites it links out to. If it changes materially, the revised version will be posted here.
